Filipino cosmetic doctor, entrepreneur, actor and model, also known as Doc Hayden, who was caught up in one of the most controversial sex scandals in Asia. Tall and handsome, Kho has a Chinese father and a Spanish-Filipina mother.
At age 16, Kho worked as a runway model while pursuing his medical studies. This stint took him to New York City, Singapore, Korea and Japan. Following in the footsteps of his father, Hayden Kho Sr., he earned his degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Santo Tomas. He completed his internship at the Makati Medical Center in Manila where he held the position of President of the Medical Interns. Kho also completed his training in anti-aging medicine through the European Anti-Aging Medicine Society (Paris). In Manila, Kho specialised in cosmetic dermatology and surgery procedures for the Belo Medical Group, owned by Vicki Belo.
In 2007, Kho started appearing on Philippine national television as an actor. His career in show business ceased when it was reported that Kho had tried to commit suicide in December 2008. In 2009, sex videos of himself with other local and foreign celebrities were distributed over the internet without his knowledge or consent. Shortly thereafter, Kho was brought to a senate hearing and was tried publicly on national television. This saga lasted for years and resulted in criminal and civil cases filed against Kho by one of the involved parties, Filipina actress Katrina Halili.
The Philippine Board of Medicine revoked Kho’s licence to practise medicine and cited unethical behaviour as the basis for his expulsion from the medical society. In December of the same year, Kho tried to commit suicide for the second time.
In 2011, Kho launched his own eponymous brand of fragrances called, “HAYDEN”. He was appointed as a brand ambassador by the Filipino fashion house MALDITA MAN and also by the cosmetic giant Ever Bilena, Inc. He also hosted the defunct Filipino showbiz oriented talk show Paparazzi, which was aired on TV5. Kho was also director of the skin care distribution brand ZO Skin Health in the Philippines.
In 2013, Kho met with Christian philosopher and apologist Ravi Zacharias in a serendipitous event hosted by some leaders of the Christ Commission Fellowship (CCF) in Manila and later became a devoted Christian.
While Kho was studying at Oxford University, the Professional Regulation Commission reinstated his medical licence. The same year, all cases against Kho were dismissed. Kho and Halili reconciled thereafter. With respect to his conversion to Christianity, Kho confirmed that he had been practising faith-based abstinence. It has been reported that Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho’s daughter, Scarlet Snow Belo, born on 3 March 2015, was conceived via In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) through surrogacy with an American-Mexican woman.
Kho has resumed his medical practice at the Sexy Solutions clinics. He owns and runs a real estate website and has invested in various software companies that create apps.
