          Graham Lyle's Biography

          Scottish-British songwriting team member with Benny Gallagher, starting their professional careers in 1964. The duo moved to London and became in-house composers for Apple Label. From April 1970, they entered a successful partnership with McGuinness Flint before embarking on individual careers.
          In 1976 they achieved two top-ten hits in April and June. After separating in 1980, Lyle continued writing with noted hits for Tina Turner and Jim Diamond. On 26 February 1985, he won the Song of the Year Grammy Award for the number one hit, “What’s Love Got to Do With It?”
