          Gilles-Gaston Granger's Biography

          French analytic philosopher, whose works discuss the philosophy of logics, mathematics, human and social sciences, Wittgenstein, Aristotle, and Jean Cavaillès. He produced the authoritative translation of Wittgenstein’s “Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus” into French. He published more than 150 scientific articles. He co-founded with Jules Vuillemin the journal L’Âge de la Science in 1968. He was president of the scientific committee of Jules Vuillemin’s Archives.
          Gilles-Gaston Granger died on 24 August 2016 at age 96 in Saint-Cloud.
