          Gazelle's Biography

          French can-can dancer, the sister of can-can dancer ‘La Goulue’ (Louise Weber).
          Gazelle is immortalised in an 1896 poster, “Mademoiselle Eglantine’s troupe [La troupe de Mademoiselle Eglantine]” by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, which portrays her alongside can-can dancers Jane Avril, Mlle Eglantine, and Cléopatre.
          Gazelle died in 1916.
