German surgeon, university lecturer, local politician, and author of works on the pathology of bones and joints, abdominal surgery and interventions on the sympathetic nervous system. His book, Chirurgische Operationslehre für Studierende und Ärzte (Surgical operations for students and doctors), was published in Berlin in 1910 and republished in 1915, 1921 and 1925.
He died on 16 March 1944 in Mehlem, aged 77.
