          Francisco Sarabia Tinoco's Biography

          Pioneer of Mexican commercial aviation that broke the speed record flight Mexico City – New York, with a time of 10 hours 43 minutes. Founder and manager of the company Transportes Aereos de Chiapas, established air communication with Tabasco, Chiapas, Yucatan and Quintana Roo.
          He died on 7 June 1939 in the waters of the Potomac River when his plane crashed minutes after takeoff from Washington, DC back to Mexico City. His body was buried in the Rotunda of Illustrious Persons in Mexico City.
