          Evelyn Venable's Biography

          American film and stage actress, and teacher at UCLA. Onscreen beginning in 1933, best-known for films like Death Takes A Holiday (1934), Alice Adams (1935), The Little Colonel (1935), and for being the voice and model for the Blue Fairy in Walt Disney’s Pinocchio (1940).
          She was born the first child in her family. Married once, she had two daughters. Her husband, cinematographer Hal Mohr, died on 10 May 1974. She died in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho on 15 November 1993 at age 80. For her work in motion pictures, Venable has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
