          Ernest Sacquepee's Biography

          French physician, biologist and professor of the Val-de-Grace school of applied military medicine and pharmacy, whose books include Les empoisonnements alimentaires (Paris: J. B. Bailliere, 1909). He was a Member of the Academy of Medicine (elected member of the Hygiene division on 13 February 1934). He earned his doctorate in medicine in Lyon in 1896. He was awarded the Barbier prize for his work on gas gangrene. He died in Paris on 8 December 1944, aged 70.
