          Ernest Pérochon's Biography

          French writer. Perochon wrote poems, novels (ranging from realism to science fiction), as well as children’s literature.
          In 1920 he won the Prix Goncourt for his novel “Nene”.
          In 1940, he refused to collaborate with the Vichy Press and two of his novels were banned. He was threatened by the Vichy Prefect and the Gestapo watched him closely.
          He died February 10, 1942 from heart attack at age 57 in Niort.
