          Emil Zurhelle's Biography

          German physician who first described Naevus Lipomatodes Cutaneus Superficialis, an uncommon skin disorder, in 1921 in Berlin, along with Erich Hoffman. They wrote several works on this subject.
          He participated as a battalion doctor during the First World War. After the war, he was first assistant doctor, then senior physician at the University Hospital in Bonn and then professor. He was then a specialist in Aachen and professor of medicine at Leiden University.
          He died in Aachen on 4 January 1965, aged 75.
