          Emil Hub's Biography

          German sculptor who mainly made busts of marble or bronze. After the Second World War he was busy with the restoration of damaged works of art.
          Emil Hub initially studied at the School of Applied Arts in Frankfurt am Main, later also in Paris and Berlin. He was a student of Paul Wallot. Since 1906 he worked as a freelance sculptor in Frankfurt am Main and was in 1921 a teacher there at the Städelschule, where, among others, Ernst August von Mandelsloh counted among his students.
          He died in Frankfurt am Main on 18 December 1954, aged 78.
