American writer and identical twin, separated at birth and reunited with her twin Paula Bernstein in 2003. The two women wrote a book, “Identical Strangers” published in 2007.
The girls were separated at birth and given to different adoptive families as part of an experiment of nature vs. nurture. In 2003 Schein satisfied her curiosity about her birth parents by contacting the adoption agency.
