          Elliot Túpac's Biography

          Peruvian self-taught contemporary visual artist of Huancaina ancestry, known as a painter, poster artist, typographer and muralist, and a pioneer of “chicha art.”
          He was involved in the artistic production of the films Madeinusa (2006) and La teta asustada (2009), both by Claudia Llosa. His creations have also been published in magazines, such as a cover for Somos, and he has exhibited in various Peruvian and international galleries. In 2010, the English magazine Creative Review surveyed his work. He collaborated with Google to create a doodle for National Holidays in 2017. Likewise, he has worked with brands such as Puma, Dunkin Donuts, Saga, BBVA and Marca Perú.
          He has created murals in various cities such as London, Buenos Aires, Bogotá, Santiago de Chile, and Valencia, among others. In 2015, his Vibraciones was exhibited at the Pepe Cobo gallery in the district of Barranco. However, the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima, governed by the then mayor Luis Castañeda Lossio, ordered the removal of various murals that decorated the historic centtr of the Peruvian capital, among which were some works by Túpac.
          In March 2020, during the state of emergency decreed by the Peruvian government due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he released some of his designs that advocated quarantine.
