American businessman and former reality television personality, also the eldest child of the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, and his first wife, Ivana (1949-2022).
Trump Jr. campaigned for his father’s presidential campaign. He has faced criticism following the 2017 revelation of a meeting with a Russian lawyer, with the promise of receiving damaging information about the campaign of Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election. He has also received attention for promoting various conspiracy theories.
Trump Jr. currently works with his brother Eric as a trustee and executive director of a trust created to oversee all of his father’s assets during the latter’s presidency, including his family’s real estate empire, The Trump Organization.
In 2003 Trump Jr. began dating model Vanessa Kay Haydon, and the couple married on 12 November 2005 at his father’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida. Haydon’s grandfather was Danish jazz musician Kai Ewans. They have five children.
On 15 March 2018, it was announced that the couple had separated and that she had filed for uncontested divorce in Manhattan Supreme Court. However, later it was revealed that the divorce was contested. The complaint was secret except for the title of the case. On 22 February 2019, they announced that they settled their divorce at the end of 2018.
Since 2018, Trump Jr. has been dating TV news personality Kimberly Guilfoyle. Guilfoyle had been friends with the Trump family for years. The two reportedly became engaged on 31 December 2020, though news of the engagement was not made public until January 2022.
Trump’s mother, Ivana, died on 14 July 2022 at age 73.
