          Dicky Moegle's Biography

          American football halfback who played professionally in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons with the San Francisco 49ers (1955-1959), Pittsburgh Steelers (1960), and Dallas Cowboys (1961). He played college football at Rice University, where he was a consensus All-American in 1954.
          In 1979, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. In 1970, he was inducted into the Rice Athletic Hall of Fame. In 1980, he was inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame.
          He was a color announcer for the Houston Oilers and a manager of the Tidelands and Tides II hotels. He died on 4 July 2021 at age 86.
