Dick Williams's Human Design Chart
5/1 Emotional Manifestor**Dick Williams: A Harmonious Blend of Music and Human Design**
Dick Williams, an American singer and actor, was born on June 7, 1926, in Wall Lake, Iowa. He was one of the three older brothers of the renowned Andy Williams, and together, they formed the celebrated musical group known as The Williams Brothers. As a Manifestor in Human Design, Dick possessed a unique ability to initiate and create, which was reflected in his dynamic performances and contributions to the music industry.
In late 1938, Dick and his brothers formed the Williams Brothers quartet, captivating audiences with their harmonies on radio stations across the Midwest, beginning with WHO in Des Moines, Iowa. Their journey took a significant turn in July 1940 when the family relocated to Chicago, landing jobs at WLS and WLW in Cincinnati. This move marked the beginning of their ascent in the entertainment world.
In 1943, the Williams Brothers moved to Los Angeles, where they collaborated with Bing Crosby on the hit record “Swinging on a Star” (1944). They also showcased their talents in four musical films: *Janie* (1944), *Kansas City Kitty* (1944), *Something in the Wind* (1947), and *Ladies’ Man* (1947). Their career reached new heights when Kay Thompson hired them as backup singers and dancers, forming a nightclub act called Kay Thompson and the Williams Brothers. Their debut in Las Vegas in 1947 led to them becoming an overnight sensation, eventually becoming the highest-paid nightclub act in the world.
As a 5/1 Profile in Human Design, Dick embodied the qualities of a natural investigator and a role model. His emotional authority enabled him to navigate the ups and downs of the entertainment industry with resilience and authenticity. After the Thompson and Williams Brothers act ended in 1953, the brothers pursued their own paths, with Dick joining the Harry James band and making his Broadway debut in August 1951.
In 1998, Dick, along with Andy, Don, and their sister Jane, returned to Wall Lake for the dedication of the Williams family home as a historic site and tourist attraction, celebrating their rich legacy in music. Dick Williams passed away in Burbank, California, on May 5, 2018, at the age of 91, leaving behind a remarkable legacy as a performer and a testament to the power of creativity and emotional expression in Human Design.
His Incarnation Cross, the Left Angle Cross of Separation (35/5 | 22/47), further highlights his role in bridging connections and fostering understanding through his art. With channels 17-62 and 35-36, Dick’s ability to articulate his experiences and emotions resonated deeply with audiences, making him a beloved figure in American music history.
