          David Icke's Biography

English professional conspiracy theorist and former soccer player and sports broadcaster. A mystic, he had a spiritual awakening in 1990-1991 and began his Earth healing. He is the author of over 20 books and numerous DVDs and has lectured in over 25 countries, speaking for up to 10 hours to audiences.
Icke combines New Age philosophical discussion about the universe and consciousness with conspiracy theories about public figures being reptilian humanoids and paedophiles. He argues in favour of reincarnation; a collective consciousness that has intentionality; modal realism (that other possible worlds exist alongside ours); and the law of attraction (that good and bad thoughts can attract experiences). In The Biggest Secret (1999), he introduced the idea that many prominent figures derive from the Anunnaki, a reptilian race from the Draco constellation. In Human Race Get Off Your Knees: The Lion Sleeps No More (2012), he identified the Moon (and later Saturn) as the source of holographic experiences, broadcast by the reptiles, that humanity interprets as reality. Icke also thinks climate change is a hoax.
As of 2003 the reptilian bloodline is claimed to include all American presidents, three British and two Canadian prime ministers, several Sumerian kings and Egyptian pharaohs, and a smattering of celebrities. Key bloodlines include the Rockefellers, Rothschilds, various European aristocratic families, the establishment families of the Eastern United States, and the British House of Windsor. Icke confirmed to Andrew Neil in May 2016 that he believes the British Royal Family are shape-shifting lizards.
He was the middle of three boys, and married Linda on 30 September 1971; daughter Kerry was born on 7 March 1975, and son Garth on 12 December 1981. He was a football/soccer player until his career ended abruptly in July 1973 with his total paralysis from rheumatoid arthritis.
In August 1973 Icke made his debut as a sportscaster. He joined Green peace and the Liberal Party the following year. In 1989, he joined the Green Party as a spokesperson, and resigned his broadcast position in March 1991.
His first book came out February 1990, It Doesn’t Have to Be Like This. He met healer Betty Shine at that time and with her guidance, had a spiritual experience in which he spoke to Socrates and received his mission.
From April to September 1990 he was involved with channeling. In late August he met Deborah Shaw and they began working together to heal the Earth. He wrote his second book during autumn 1990, The Truth Vibrations, and it came out April 1991. The message was that we are facing ecological disaster and a breakdown of our world political and economic systems. The planet must be cleansed of collective karma and imbalances to survive.
In January 1991, Icke began channeling through automatic writing and direct speech. He had a “take over experience” in Canada on 3 February 1991 while in deep sleep. He went immediately to Peru to carry out extensive earth energy work, returning to Canada a month later for the Son of the Godhead Press Conference, March 1991.
By now Debbie Shaw was known as Mari Shawsun. She and David announced their love to the world and she moved in with the wife and family. By October, the “take-over” had receded and Mari left, but she gave birth to a daughter in December 1991.
Love Changes Everything was published in the spring of 1992. Icke continued to write and lecture extensively to an ever-increasing audience in 1993. His books followed, Days of Decision and his autobiography In The Light of Experience (1993).
He then wrote The Robots’ Rebellion (1994), And the Truth Shall Set You Free (1995), The Biggest Secret (1999), and Children of the Matrix (2001), in which he developed his worldview of New Age conspiracism. His endorsement of the antisemitic forgery The Protocols of the Elders of Zion in The Robots’ Rebellion and And the Truth Shall Set You Free led his publisher to refuse to publish his books, which were self-published thereafter.
