          Countess Zoë Wassilko-Serecki's Biography

          Austrian astrologer and parapsychologist, the grand lady of Austrian astrology. Daughter of count Stephan Wassilko von Serecki, she grew up bilingual with German and Romanian, and learned French and English as a child. She was taught by private teachers. After the fall-down of the Austrian monarchy in 1918 she stayed in Vienna with her parents, turning towards parapsychology and astrology from 1922 on. She founded the Austrian Society for Psychic Research on 2 December 1927, together with the physicist Hans Thirring, and remained general secretary for 38 years. She had been vice president of the Austrian astrological association before the second world war, until it was dissolved by the nazis. After the war, it was revived and she was president from 1949 until 1974.

          She died on 26 November 1978 at 16:40 in Vienna.
