          Conrad Vogt-Svendsen's Biography

          Norwegian minister. During World War II he worked as a seamen minister at the Norwegian seaman church in Hamburg. Together with his colleague Arne Berge he conducted relief work for the many Scandinavian prisoners in Germany, and after the war helped with the White Buses operation.
          After the war he worked as a seamen minister in Mobile, Alabama, from 1945-1947, and later in Genova. From 1951 he was head secretary for Hjemmet for Døve (‘The Home for the Deaf’) and from 1968 principal minister for the deaf in Norway.
          Vogt-Svendsen died on 1 December 1973 in Oslo, Norway, aged 59.
