          Clyde Lovellette's Biography

          American basketball player, the first in history to play on an NCAA championship team, Olympics gold medal basketball team, and NBA championship squad. Very tall at 6 ft 9 in (2.06 m), he landed a place on the 1952 Summer Olympics gold medal team in Helsinki and was the team’s dominating player and leading scorer.
          He played in the NBA for the Minneapolis Lakers (1953–1957), Cincinnati Royals (1957–1958), St. Louis Hawks (1958–1962) and Boston Celtics (1962–1964).
          Lovellette died on 9 March 2016 from cancer in North Manchester, Indiana at the age of 86.
