Charlotte Eisenblätter's Biography
German resistance fighter against National Socialism, a commercial sector employee, who joined the Communist resistance group during the Nazi era, along with Robert Uhrig, Beppo Romans and John Sieg. As a chief secretary in a large company, she was able to print, among other things, anti-government leaflets which appeared regularly as an “information service” at a time when the dissemination of such info was punishable by death.
She met Werner Seelenbinder and they fell in love. Arrested in February 1942, she was sent to Ravensbrück Concentration Camp. She was sentenced to death on 10 July 1944 for “preparing to commit high treason.” The sentence was carried out on 25 August 1944 in the Berlin-Plötzensee prison.
