French defense attorney for Jean-Marc Deperrois. On 27 July 1994 police arrested Deperrois for the murder of nine-year-old Emilie Tanay. Deperrois had been having an affair with Sylvie Tocqueville and had laced some antibiotic medicine with arsenic, thinking that Sylvie’s husband would take the medicine. Instead, Sylvie had given Emilie a spoonful on 11 June 1994 and the girl died of poisoning.
Libman lost his case when Deperrois was convicted and sentenced on 27 May 1997 to 20 years prison for the murder of Emilie Tanay.
