Renowned Peruvian poet. While belongs to the generation of the seventies, his poetry moved away from its earliest texts of conversational discourse of the time, opting for a unique way of recognized originality. He spent his early years in Collique, which at that time was a non-urban agricultural area, since his father was director of the sanatorium tisiólogo Collique; in those years, that institution was suffering from tuberculosis. He began his school years in La Inmaculada. At seven he moved to Arequipa and studied at the Colegio San José; in 1968 he returned to Lima and completed his secondary education at Immaculate.
