          Carl Mortensen's Biography

          Norwegian sailor and Olympic medallist who received a silver medal in the 6 metre class with the boat Elisabeth X at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, together with Johan Ferner, Erik Heiberg, Tor Arneberg, and Finn Ferner.
          He was later director of the Norwegian Correspondence School (NKS), which later became NKS Nettstudier, and then part of the Kristiania University College. He took over the assignment from the founder Einar Rørstad and led the school for one year until 1968.
          Mortensen died on 1 November 2005 in Oslo aged 86.
