Norwegian physician and pioneer of social medicine. He was professor of Hygiene at the University of Oslo 1940-1951 and Norway’s first professor of social medicine, 1951-1971. He was pro-rector of UiO 1964-1966. He was president of the Norwegian Medical Association 1948-1951.
Strøm died on 18 June 1985 in Oslo, Norway, aged 84.
