          Arthur Lehmann's Biography

          German Nazi politician, a member of the National Socialist Reichstag for constituency 20 (Cologne-Aachen) from April 1938 until the end of the Nazi regime in spring 1945.
          After attending the nine-year middle school in Neumünster, Arthur Lehmann completed a four-year commercial apprenticeship, which was supplemented by attending commercial school. From 1914 to 1918 he took part in World War I with the 8th company of the 258th Reserve Infantry Regiment and the 11th company of the 28th Reserve Infantry Regiment, where he was deployed as a telephone squad leader and was awarded the Iron Cross, class II. From September 1918 to 1919 he was a prisoner of war.
          In 1930 Lehmann joined the NSDAP (membership number 321,852). In this he was initially engaged as a cell leader, cashier and leader of the district audit department. In May 1936 he became Gauamtsleiter in the Cologne-Aachen district. In 1943 he became Gauhauptamtsleiter and Oberbereichsleiter of the party.
          He died on 19 June 1945 at age 59.
