French veterinary surgeon, who was professor of medical pathology of cattle and farm animals at the Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire d’Alfort, then Director of this School.
On his own or in collaboration, Charton presented more than 100 papers or publications. With Professor G. Lesbouyriès, he co-published a 480-page book devoted to the nutrition of domestic mammals.
He died on 7 April 1976, aged 64, in Créteil, Val-de-Marne.
