**Alfred Witte** (February 3, 1878 – August 4, 1941) was a prominent German Uranian astrologer, renowned for establishing a sophisticated system of spatial reference and founding the Hamburg School of Astrology. As a Manifestor in Human Design, Witte possessed a unique ability to initiate and inform others, which greatly influenced his work in astrology and occult practices.

Witte’s journey into astrology was marked by his Emotional Inner Authority, guiding him to make decisions based on his feelings and emotional clarity. This aspect of his Human Design allowed him to develop deep insights into the astrological phenomena he studied, particularly during his service on the Russian Front in World War I. There, he meticulously recorded astrological data to predict the timing of Russian artillery barrages, showcasing his innovative approach to astrology and his belief in the existence of undiscovered celestial bodies.

An advocate of esoteric and experimental astrology, Witte was the initiator of Uranian Astrology and one of its most progressive innovators. He, along with his friend and collaborator F. Sieggruen, used their intuitive gifts to discover the four hypothetical planets—Cupido, Hades, Zeus, and Kronos—contributing to the eventual identification of eight Transneptunians. His work led to the development of the midpoint method and graphical planetary structures, which were later integrated into Cosmobiology by R. Ebertin, an early student of Witte.

Witte authored the influential book “Regelwerk der Planeten” in 1925, which became the foundational reference for the Uranian School (Hamburger Schule).
