          Alfred Riche's Biography

          French medical chemist and pharmacist, who in 1854 made Sulfur mustard (SM), also known as mustard gas, by combining chlorine and diethyl. He was Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the Ecole Supérieure de Pharmacie, Paris and assayer at the Mint. He died in 1908.
