Alexis Pinturault's Biography
French-Norwegian World Cup alpine ski racer and three-time Olympic medallist for France.
He has six World Cup victories through January 2014. Pinturault represented France at the World Championships in 2011 and 2013, and was a two-time world junior champion in giant slalom in 2009 and 2011.
On 19 February 2014, he won the Olympic Bronze medal in giant slalom in Soci. On 13 February 2018 he won the Olympic Silver medal in the Alpine skiing Men’s combined event at Pyeongchang, South Korea. On 18 February, he won the bronze in giant slalom. On 11 February 2021, he won a bronze medal in Super-G at the 2021 Cortina world championship.
On 20 March 2021, the day of his 30th birthday, he won the world Cup giant slalom in Lenzerheide (Swiss resort)) and at the same time the world Cup’s title overall (2020-21), succeeding Frenchmen Killy and Alphand. In 2023, he won the gold medal “at home” in the Men’s combined event and the Bronze in the Super-G at the 2023 Courchevel world championship. Courchevel is the ski resort where he grew up with his father, the owner of the “Hôtel Anapurna”. His mother comes from Norway.
He married Romane in 2017.
