Albert Eitel's Human Design Chart

2/4 Sacral Generator

German architect whose works are classified as belonging to historicism and reform architecture. The majority of the approximately 100 buildings he designed (partly together with Eugen Steigleder) are located in Stuttgart and the surrounding area. Much of his work has been preserved to this day and is partially heritage listed.
Albert Eitel was the second born of the 11 children of Emil Eitel and Charlotte (nee Trost). His two younger sisters married merchants. Albert’s five brothers emigrated to Chicago from 1890 one after the other. Emil Eitel Jr., Karl, Robert and Max Eitel worked there as hotel and restaurant entrepreneurs, and Otto Eitel made a name for himself as a landscape gardener.
Albert Eitel completed his studies at the Technical University of Stuttgart as well as in Düsseldorf and Dresden. After that, he worked in the architectural firm Schilling & Graebner in Dresden and Alfred Messel in Berlin. In 1896 he traveled to Chicago, where he stayed with his brothers, and worked in the renowned architecture firm DH Burnham and Company, at that time the largest architectural firm in Chicago. By 1899 he had returned to Stuttgart.
Alone or together with Eugen Steigleder or his son Hans, Eitel designed more than 100 city villas, residential, rental and settlement houses, public buildings and commercial buildings in the Stuttgart area.
On 20 March 1902, Eitel married Elisabeth Hoffmann (1872–1961), a daughter of the Stuttgart publisher Julius Hoffmann (1833–1904), and they had two children. Albert Eitel died after a short illness, on 25 August 1934 in Stuttgart at age 68.
