          Alain Souchon's Biography

          French pop singer, songwriter and actor of Swiss descent (mother) born in Morocco. Son of Pierre Souchon, a Parisian teaching English, he was bred by a Jewish named Kienast (first husband of his mother) until the age of 7.
          Well-known for his appearances in movies including “The Deadly Summer” with Isabelle Adjani and directed by Jean Becker.
          When he was 6 months old, the Kienast moved back to France. His dad Pierre he discovered in 1951 died when he was 14 and he was sent to a French school in London. There he found a passion in the guitar and in performing as a musician. In 1970 he married; a year later, 1971, he signed his first record contract but did not have a big hit until 1974. He often collaborates with composer/arranger Laurent Voulzy. His work has earned him several Victoire awards for music video, best male artist, best album and more.
          Married, he has two sons: Pierre and Charles.
