Azure Error – Invalid Value for ‘Content’

We are aware of an issue effecting some accounts where the error message: Azure Error – Invalid Value for ‘Content’ is shown. We are investigating the cause but in the meantime;

If you encounter the following error message while using the chatbot:

Azure: Error: Invalid value for ‘content’: expected a string, got null. (invalid_request_error)

This indicates that the system attempted to process a request, but the expected content was missing or improperly formatted.


🔍 Possible Causes #

  • There is no input or prompt submitted to the AI.
  • A system setting or API request is sending an empty value.
  • The chatbot does not have enough context or a starting message.
  • Temporary connectivity issues between the HDAI and Azure.

Steps to Fix the Issue #

1️⃣ Refresh the Page #

Sometimes, a simple refresh can resolve temporary issues.

  • Press CTRL + R (Windows) or CMD + R (Mac) to reload the page.
  • Try sending a message again.

Ensure Your Input is Valid #

Before submitting your request:

  • Make sure your input box is not empty.
  • Avoid special characters or excessively long prompts.

Try a Different Browser or Device #

If the issue persists, test the chatbot on:

  • A different web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari).
  • A mobile device if you were using a desktop, or vice versa.

Inspect Console for Errors (Advanced) #

For developers or technical users, check for errors:

  • Right-click on the page and select Inspect.
  • Go to the Console tab and look for related errors.

Contact Support #

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, please contact support and include:

  • A screenshot of the error message.
  • The steps you took before encountering the issue.
  • Your browser and device details.
