T. M. Scanlon's Biography
American philosopher and author of the books, What we owe to each other (1998), The difficulty of tolerance: essays in political philosophy (2003), Moral dimensions: permissibility, meaning, blame (2008) and Being realistic about reasons (2014).
He was the Alford Professor of Natural Religion, Moral Philosophy, and Civil Polity in Harvard University’s Department of Philosophy until his retirement at the end of the 2015–16 academic year.
