Katy Louise Saunders's Biography
British actress who lives and works in Italy. Born to a British father and Colombian mother, she spent her childhood in London and Italy due to her father’s work.
She debuted in 2002 in the film Un viaggio chiamato amore (A Journey Called Love), directed by Michele Placido, in which she plays the role of Sibilla as a child, and the following year appeared briefly in Lizzie McGuire – Da liceale a popstar (Lizzie McGuire – From high school to pop star). In 2004, she became popular thanks to Luca Lucini’s film, Tre metri sopra il cielo (Three Steps to Heaven), in which she plays the role of Babi, opposite Riccardo Scamarcio; in the same year she played Valentina in Che ne sarà di noi (What will become of us), by Giovanni Veronesi. The following year she appeared for the first time on television in a miniseries on Rai 1, Il Grande Torino, directed by Angelo Vicari, in which she played the role of Susanna.
In 2007 she co-starred with Riccardo Scamarcio and Laura Chiatti in Ho voglia di te, directed by Luis Prieto, a sequel to Tre metri sopra il cielo. In the same year she appeared in the Hollywood production Virgin Territory. The following year she appeared, along with George Clooney, in the Nespresso advertisement, The Capsule, directed by Guy Ritchie. In 2011, she starred with Roberto Farnesi in the television series Non smettere di sognare (Do not stop dreaming), and in 2014 joined the cast of Sapore di te.
