Duke of Oldenburg Elimar's Biography
Duke of Oldenburg, as a child of August, Grand Duke of Oldenburg and his wife, Princess Cecilia of Sweden (daughter of King Gustav IV Adolf of Sweden). He was the youngest of all sons but apparently the only one who lived. His elder half-sister was Amalia of Oldenburg, Queen Consort of Greece.
On 9 November 1876, in Vienna, he married morganatically Baroness Natalie Vogel von Friesenhof (8 April 1854 Vienna-9 January 1937 Hungary), Alexandre Pushkin’s niece and cousin of Prince Nikolaus Wilhelm of Nassau’s wife. The couple had two children.
He died on 17 October 1895, aged 51, in Erlau.
