American kidnapping victim, she was abducted from her home on June 11, 1991, age 11. Eighteen years later on August 24, 2009 her alleged kidnapper Philip Garrido was spotted by University of California Berkeley police with two young girls and questioned for seemingly suspicious behavior. On August 26th, Garrido walked into a Concord, CA police station to meet with his parole officer. He brought Jaycee with him, who, as it turns out, is the mother of the two young girls with whom he had been seen two days earlier. Now age 29, Jaycee was questioned and revealed her identity to police. She was reunited with her mother and stepfather shortly thereafter.
Dugard was born to a single mother; her mother married Carl Probyn and the family moved in 1990 from their home in Garden Grove, CA to South Lake Tahoe, CA. She was abducted from this neighborhood by a man and woman driving a sedan. After she was found in 2009, it was revealed that she had been held n captivity for those 18 years in a compound in Antioch CA. During those years she had given birth to her two daughters named Starlet and Angel, ages 11 and 15 in 2009. The children were fathered by Jaycee’s alleged kidnapper Philip Garrido, who along with his wife Nancy, was charged with 29 counts including kidnapping, imprisonment and rape.
